The growing population of elderly in the UK and across the world is inspiring various types of research to increase the ability of older people to live independently for longer. One such attempt is the Long Lasting Memories (LLM) Project.

Funded by the European Commission, the LLM Project is to hold a workshop in Athens during May. This workshop will include a demonstrations of innovative solutions to enhance cognitive health in the elderly.

Components of the LLM system to be demonstrated at the workshop include Independent Living, Physical Training, and Cognitive Training. The workshop will also include a consideration of issues related to issues such as ethics, technical, scientific and commercial matters.

The managing director of Global Security Intelligence (GSI), said in a PRWeb press release: “We expect that the work we are doing will be of great interest to both the scientific community and to commercial concerns whose strategy is focused upon serving the needs of the growing population of elderly citizens.”

Once approved, LLM will launch its product on a trial basis in five countries.

The project, along with partners such as GSI Ltd., provides a platform from which to secure autonomous living in a holistic and integrated way.
