Saga cruises launch overnight social networking

Saga, the insurance, holiday and finance provider for over 50s has announced an overnight social networking cruise to be held in June.

On its own cruise ship the Saga Ruby, the event is to be held overnight from 17 June to 18 June.

More typically voyaging farther afield to a host of destinations, such as the Canaries, the spectacular scenery of Greenland, West Africa and the Baltics, for this cruise the Saga Ruby will travel up the east cost of England from Dover to Newcastle.

The Saga Ruby will depart from Dover at 1500 hours on Wednesday 17 June and arrive at Newcastle at 1200 hours on Thursday 18 June.

Prices for the trip range from £150 per person to £225 per person. The prices vary, depending on the level of accommodation you would like. All prices include full board, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.

Thankfully, the price also includes a return trip from Newcastle to Dover by standard class rail travel, including coach transfer between ports and stations, and also includes the rail journeys to and from your home station. So you won’t be stranded!

The cruise also includes a cocktail party, entertainment, activities and “24-hour” room service (for the 21 hour cruise!).
