Enjoy bargains during the World Cup

The World Cup is up and running and it’s worth looking out for “World Cup bargains” while it’s on – especially while England are still in it.

If you fancy sporting the England colours to show your support for the lads, then you can get the official home or away shirt in Asda for just £25 – a full tenner cheaper than many other places.

If that’s too much for you, then an unofficial England shirt could be yours for less than £5 (plus £3.95 P&P) from Sports Direct.

A World Cup promotion from O2 offers you a £5 reward for every England goal scored (after you register – so be quick!). To get the payback you have to buy a special sim card and top up by £15. If England score more than three more goals, you’ll be “quids in”!

There are even some free deals out there.

Register with Paddy Power and you could get a free World Cup T-shirt or pants. You don’t actually need to deposit any money into your new Paddy Power account to get the freebie.

Hyundai are offering a free football if you trade in your old one. There are 57,000 available and they are not the Adidas Jabilani ball in use and criticised in South Africa!

If you fancy a beer during the World Cup games, you can get a free pint or glass of wine at Greene King pubs, if you claim a voucher online at the Greene King website.

Pitcher & Piano bars are offering a free bottle of Budweiser on Friday 18 June. Again, you need to register at their website.

If you prefer to watch the matches at home, with a glass of beer by your side, then you can find good deals from most of the top supermarkets, including Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco.
