Stay warm with E.ON StayWarm - Do you save money?
StayWarm is an energy tariff by E.ON (Powergen) designed for people over 60. To join StayWarm you must fit the following criteria:
- You or someone living in the house is over 60
- Less than 4 people living in the house
- There are no more than 3 bedrooms
- You take both gas and electricity from E.ON StayWarm
- You pay by monthly Direct Debit
The amount you pay will be based on a combination of factors including the number of people living in the house, the number of bedrooms and your usage. This price is set for one year with the fixed fee debited from your chosen account each month.
Every 12 months you will be subject to an annual review. If you use large amounts of energy you may be required to pay higher rates as the E.ON StayWarm tariff is split in to usage bands - low, medium and high users.
Please note: According to E.ON's terms and conditions if you use gas or electricity to heat a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, greenhouse or workshop you will not be eligible for StayWarm.
E.ON StayWarm - Advantage
The standout benefit of signing up to StayWarm is your energy prices are fixed for 12 months. So you will know exactly what you're paying and you won't be exposed to energy price increases until the following year.
If you you're an existing customer of StayWarm you should periodically(once a year) review your energy consumption to determine whether
the energy tariff is still a good deal. Rather than just renewing your StayWarm tariff compare how much you're paying in relation to other energy suppliers.
By using one of the energy comparison websites listed below you can quickly work out whether it's
worthwhile sticking with StayWarm or switching
.
E.ON StayWarm - Disadvantage
By no means is StayWarm always the cheapest option. So if price matters, which it does, start by contacting
StayWarm to see if you're eligible and how much it will cost.
Once you have a quote we recommend using an energy comparison website such as
Compare and Buy or
Energy Helpline. You will need to fill in the online quote form which will take no more than a couple of minutes. If you find an energy supplier cheaper than both your current provider and E.ON StayWarm it's worth switching.
