About Tropical Birdland

After an initial struggle with the council, Birdland opened its doors to visitors in 1984. With the new source of income the aviaries and gardens were soon expanded along with the introduction of rare species. Hand rearing the offspring of common species along with breeding endangered species became the main goal for Birdland.
