About Us

We believe it is important for you to know a little bit about the people behind Seniors Discounts, who we are and our backgrounds. So please take a minute to read on.

Seniors Discounts has been set up by myself, Daniel Wilson.

The original idea surfaced a number of years ago while teaching my mum how to use a computer and the internet. As she honed her computer skills I started to realise there was a growing number of people, just like my mum jumping online to look for information, purchase products and seek information.

That seed of an idea was launched as a hobby called Seniors Discounts in July 2006. An online location where people over 50 could take advantage of age specific discounts and money saving advice. Roll forward to today and we have a thriving community of people 50 plus enjoying the benefits of saving money.

While there are conventional senior discounts on the website, you will also find internet based discounts, money saving tips, financial advice and a growing directory of information to make your money go further.

So who is behind Seniors Discounts?

Daniel Wilson – Apart from teaching my mum how to use a computer I originally studied nutrition at college. This led to working in the health & fitness industry for a number of years as a manager of corporate health clubs. During my mid-twenties I returned to university, completed a business degree and was selected for a graduate program with a leading technology company. Since, my career has focused on the business and marketing arena of software and technology development, which has played an integral role in the evolution of Seniors Discounts.

Suzanne Hunt – A qualified nurse, my wife and all round wonderful person. With a background in nursing Suzanne has worked in hospitals, emergency response centres and as a health administration co-ordinator for some of London’s top private hospitals. Suzanne has an incredible eye for detail and an extremely welcoming nature which makes her role in overseeing administration, public relations and business development the ideal fit.

Michael Wilson – My brother, the numbers man, with a flair for both business and sport. Michael brings considerable financial expertise and possesses a business degree which led to the completion of post-graduate qualifications in finance. Although Michael would ideally spend most of his time windsurfing, he works as a risk consultant to a leading investment bank in London, where he worked for the past 7 years and held the position of Director.

As you can see, Seniors Discounts is a family venture with each of us bringing key business skills to manage and oversee the daily operations and growth of Seniors Discounts.
